We just returned from our camping trip to Bryce Canyon. We had such a fun time!!! We can't wait to go again next year.
These pictures are from our first hike. We went to Mossy Cave. It was a fairly easy and short hike to a cave and a beautiful waterfall. We had a picnic lunch by the waterfall.
While we hiked Brynn made up a little song called the Hiking song and taught it to the other kids.
The next day we ventured a bit farther and went on the easiest hike that takes you down into the canyon. We hiked to Queens Garden.
When we got to Queen's Garden, we had lunch and of course we had little visitors. Brynn couldn't help herself. Even though we are not supposed to feed the animals, she is so captivated by all animals, she had to just once, ...or twice.
Because of my recent surgery on my legs, we decided to take the younger two kids in the stroller so that we wouldn't have to carry anybody. We got a lot of funny looks and comments about how we were going to have to push the stroller back out of the canyon. Then when we were pushing the 100+ pound stroller up the inclines, (Travis and I each held onto the stroller side by side and pushed together) we got a lot of applause from others. Once we got closer to the top, and the inclines got more steep, Travis pushed the stroller by himself and We took Kailee out and she walked the rest of the way.
When we woke in the morning it was cold and so Jaden and Blake had jackets on. When we got to the hike and we took their jackets off, we realized that they had forgotten to change their P.J. tops. Jaden was so embarrassed that he wore his jacket the whole hike!!! He was just a little warm. Because of the new day and new hike, Brynn added to her Hiking Song. This is the updated version.
Back at our camp site we did things I remember from my childhood camptrips. There was playing Uno before bed...
...playing Zim Zam...
...and of course we had to make smores!!!

So fun! I'm glad you had such a great time. Now that you are avid campers...maybe next year we can to camping together somtime!
Looks like a lot of fun. Zach asks us everyday when we can go camping, because we usually go in Logan Canyon every year, but this year couldn't swing it. Maybe we'll try to go south in September. Bryce, Zion's, or Arches. Your pictures and videos make us all wish we were camping too.

Love it! Looks like you had such a great time. Zachary loved watching your videos, and now he keeps saying, "I want to go camping....when are we going to go?" Guess we'll have to go soon! I love Brynns song and Blakes marshmallow face! :)
